Getting around in South Africa once you have arrived is convenient, and there are several options such as domestic flights, self drive, train and bus services.

You can get to South Africa by direct international flights from many destinations around the world, including several European countries, the Middle East, India  , the Far East, Australia , North America and South America . South Africa is also connected by flights to most of the African  countries. South Africa has 10 international airports, the two major ones being OR Tambo International Airport in Johannesburg and Cape Town International Airport.

Getting around in South Africa once you have arrived is convenient, and there are several options. South Africa has a well established domestic air travel infrastructure with links between all major centers.

There is a well-maintained network of roads and national highways in populous regions. Except for rural lanes and tracks in national parks and game reserves, most roads are paved and very good. Some portions of the national roads are limited access and some sections are also toll roads, which generally have two or more lanes in each direction.

If you want to go by bus, there are scheduled bus services between Cape Town , Johannesburg , Durban and other cities, as well as local buses. Trains are  running between major South African cities. Most trains only operate a budget service, but between Johannesburg and Cape Town  there is also a Premier Class service.
