Most overseas visitors to South Africa come primarily to experience the country's wildlife and the magnificent, unspoiled areas. The game reserves in South Africa are set in habits ranging from desert dunelands to shady, subtropical forests. There are 17 game reserves and one National Lake area administered by the South African Park. Among the game reserves, Kruger National Park is by far the most famous, it is also the biggest, and supports more species of wildlife than any of the others. With more than 3,000 kilometers (1,875 miles) of coastline, South Africa has some of the most beautiful beaches in the world, with clean, clear and warm water, and in many places protected by shark nets.
